The challenge
Create an unforgettable finale that touches and unites everyone
One Young World is a global platform that brings together young leaders aged 18 to 30 to build a fair and sustainable future. Every year, the organisation hosts an international summit, and this year the Netherlands is the host country. As is tradition, the event begins with a ceremony in which all participating countries are represented. The spectacular finale will serve as a kick-off to an exciting week full of speeches, panel discussions and workshops.

The solution
Let the entire building speak and, as a living symbol, inspire and connect the audience
We explored how we could literally bring the building to life. We drew inspiration from the grandeur and symmetry of the stately structure and from the rich history it has witnessed over the years. Through light choreography, we gave the Peace Palace a voice that breathed and spoke, before engaging in an interaction with the talented drummer Koen Herfst, thereby heralding a new era.
