Dance design at the EO Youth Day

The challenge

Create a dance piece that visualizes the main speech both in terms of content and emotion.

The EO Youth Day is an annual Christian event in the Netherlands where approximately 15,000 young people from various churches come together to sing, pray, and listen to inspiring speeches. For Tiemen Westerduin's speech, there was a need for a visualization that could appropriately add an extra dimension.

The solution

We create a moving choreography that interprets the story from the perspective of the Trinity.

We have seized upon the story surrounding the meaning of the word 'perichoresis' to visualize through dance. That is to say: the dynamics in the Father, Son, and Spirit relationship. A dance together in which you never lose sight of each other, always hold on, but at the same time give each other enough space to grow and to simply be.
