The challenge
Create a grand moment in which we can reveal the name of this development area
CrossMark Breda is a major urban regeneration project in Breda, aimed at transforming former industrial and railway sites into a modern, highly urbanised district offering housing, workplaces, healthcare and culture. For the announcement of the name, the client was looking for an opening that would both reflect the city's ambition and bring the story behind the project to life.

The solution
An immersive experience where we literally transport people from the current situation to the city's ambition
Area development projects are characterized by their versatility, the diversity of their objectives and, at times, a high degree of abstraction. We opted for an approach that allows the story and the transition to be experienced as an attraction you are part of. The show began in the remaining part of the old, large hall of Backer & Rueb. From this robust setting, we launched the Sonos Lux Experience to draw attention to the gigantic factory doors. Then, in perfect time with the music, Councillor Paul de Beer and Deputy Erik van Merriƫnboer opened the doors to 'the promised land'. Upon entering the area, we allowed guests to experience the Mark junction or crossing (Crossmark) from a completely different perspective. Using light, lasers and soundscapes, we created a surreal and innovative spectacle, featuring a laser projection show with the councillor's voice as the narrator.
